Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

QR Drop is a file-sharing tool that allows users to upload a file and receive a scannable QR code. The recipient scans the QR code to download the file. Uploaded files are automatically deleted after 7 days.

2. Acceptable Use

You may not upload files that:

• Contain malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious code.
• Are illegal under applicable law (e.g. CSAM, pirated software, weapons instructions).
• Violate third-party intellectual property rights.
• Contain content intended to harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Are intended to circumvent security systems or conduct fraud.

We reserve the right to remove files and suspend access without notice for violations.

3. Plans, Limits & Retention

QR Drop offers four tiers. Limits may change; current values are shown on the Pricing page.

• Anonymous (free) — 15 MB per file, 5 uploads/day, 3 downloads per file, links expire in 24 hours.
• Registered (free) — 30 MB per file, 10 uploads/day, 5 downloads per file, links expire in 24 hours, 5 GB/month data cap.
• Pay-as-you-go — 3 GB per file, 500 uploads/day, 100 downloads per file, links expire in 3 days. Billed at $0.15/GB. Balance never expires. All sales final.
• Subscription — 5 GB per file, 2,000 uploads/day, 2,000 downloads per file, links expire in 7 days. $15/month includes 100 GB; overage at $0.10/GB.

All uploaded files are permanently deleted after the link expiry period. We are not responsible for any loss of data after deletion.

4. Billing & Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase you agree to the following:

• Pay-as-you-go balance never expires and is non-refundable.
• Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable after the billing period starts. You may cancel anytime and retain access until the period ends.
• Overage charges for subscription plans are billed automatically at the end of each billing cycle.
• Billing errors are always corrected. Contact us if you believe you were charged incorrectly.
• Stripe sends an automatic receipt to your email after every payment.

5. Accounts & Authentication

You may sign in via Google or email magic link. Both methods create the same account if the email address matches. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. No Warranty

QR Drop is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, file delivery, or suitability for any particular purpose. Use at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QR Drop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss, business interruption, or unauthorized access to your files.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to files you upload. By uploading, you grant QR Drop a limited, temporary license to store and serve your file solely for the purpose of providing the service. This license expires when the file is deleted.

9. Privacy

Your use of QR Drop is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
